Last Saturday was very special for all those who love football, but especially for the Barcelona Club and their fans. The legendary Xavi, one of Barça’s best midfielders in history, played its last match at the Camp Nou.
Xavi Hernandez join FC Barcelona when he was only 11. From their arrival at the club until he was 17 he played in Barcelona’s Young Teams. One year after he played for the first time with the ‘first team’. It was in the year 1,998 when Xavi was 18; now he leaves at the age of 35.
Xavi has played with the team during many years: he was part of Barcelona when Van Gaal won his last league with the Catalan Club; then Xavi played during the worse recent years of Barça; after this he succeeded with Rijkaard and Guardiola as coachs; and now with Luis Enrique. Xavi also played when the boss was Tito Vilanova.
Barcelona’s no. 6 has achieved many titles: 8 leagues (including this year’s cup), 2 World Club Cups, 2 Spanish Cups and 3 Champions League (he can still win 2 more titles in the next seasons).
Now Xavi moves to Qatar, but all Barcelona fans are sure he will come back to club. #6ràciesXavi
