We already know the matches of the Champions League quarter finals!
The first thing to highlight is the absence of English clubs. This year they have not reached the quarter-final of the main European competition and this is nothing but a defeat for all English football.
Just the opposite happens in the Spanish league: Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have overcome the UCL last 16 round. In fact, 3 of the 8 clubs in the quarter-final are Spanish. This cannot be repeated in the semi finals because the two teams of Madrid, Real and Atletico, will play the quarter-final against each other.
On the other hand, Barcelona will face the only French club in the Champions League, PSG. The vice president of the Catalan club, Jordi Mestre, has said that the club “is happy” with the result of the draw, but it is clear that Ibrahimovic’s PSG is not an easy team at all.
The other two kicks-off are Porto vs Bayern Munich and Juventus vs Monaco.
