We could not have thought it some weeks before. Barcelona was 8 points ahead of Atletico and 9 ahead of Real Madrid in the table, and there were just a few matches to play. But suddenly everything went wrong for Barça. Firstly in the Clasico -Real achieved the victory-, and then in other matches. The Catalans even failed in the Champions League (they lost against Atletico Madrid).

One month ago Barcelona was supposed to be La Liga’s winner and the favourite team to achieve the Champions League. Now the only certain thing is that they will play the Copa del Rey final against Sevilla.

Luis Enrique’s squad was afraid to lose even La Liga, but it seems that they have recovered themselves on time. Now Atletico and Real are only 1 and 2 points far from Barcelona, but the Catalans have comfortably won the last three matches. Suarez have given the victory to their team after scoring many goals.

Which club will win La Liga? This is the big question.

We are not soothsayers, so we cannot give a solution, but we will show you the last matches to be played by the three leading clubs. What an emotion!

Week 37 (May 8)

Espanyol v Barcelona 5pm

Atlético v Levante 5pm

Valencia v Real Madrid 5pm

Week 38 (May 15)

Barcelona v Granada

Celta v Atlético

Real Madrid v Deportivo

Jornada 37 (8 mayo)

Espanyol – Barcelona (17h)

Atlético – Levante (17h)

Valencia – Real Madrid (17h)

Jornada 38 (15 mayo)

Barcelona – Granada

Celta – Atlético

Real Madrid – Deportivo

Neymar is currently living his “best moment as football player”. This has been one of his statements in an interview in the magazine Globo, in which the Brazilian has also said that “the football key is to play beside good players, and in Barcelona there are the best ones”.

Because of all this, Neymar assures he is “very happy in Barça” and that he feels there as if he was “at home”. The young star praises Barcelona’s way of working and ‘being’, because, he says, the club seeks ‘being happy at the pitch”. Neymar believes this has brought many titles to Barcelona, and he hopes they will win much more ones.

Neymar has also talked about the known as MSN (Messi, Neymar and Suárez). He says that their excellent relation when playing is the same than the one they have out of the pitch.

Neymar is the present and future of Barcelona.

Ronaldo wins his 3rd Pichichi, the same No as Messi

This week Cristiano Ronaldo has been awarded with the ‘Pichichi’, the title for the player who has scored the most in the Spanish League. Now the Portuguese owns the same number of ‘Pichichi’ prizes as Messi.

Ronaldo has achieved this title after having scored 48 goals in 35 matches (1.37 goals per game). It is becoming usual to see that the ‘Pichichi’ scores so much goals (Messi scored 50 goals in season 2011-12, Ronaldo was the first player to score 40 in 2010-11, etc.), but a few years ago it was impossible to imagine. In fact, so legendary La Liga strikers as Van Nistelrooy, Eto’o or Ronaldo Nazario never scored more than 30 goals.

After achieving the Pichichi, Ronaldo will not be behind Messi in the Pichichi Top List: both have won three titles. However, this equality has been broken in the Alfredo di Stéfano Title (for the best player of the season). This year Messi has been awarded with it, so now the Argentinean owns five titles, while Ronaldo has achieved four.

Regarding the clubs, Real Madrid is the “Pichichi king” with 27 titles; followed by Barcelona with 13; Bilbao with 12; and Atletico Madrid with 10.
