Ancelotti knew in advance that he was not supposed to have it easy as Real Madrid’s boss. Or at least he has claimed that in an interview for the French newspaper Le Parisien. One of his statements has been: “somebody can be Real’s coach for a few months or many years because if the team does not win, you get fired”.

The Italian coach has also said that achieving the 10th Champions League Title for Real “did not avoid that he was fired the following year”. It is fair to add that Ancelotti not only won the Champions League, but also one Spanish Cup, one European Supercup and one Clubs World Cup. All these titles achieved in two seasons. It is also true that Real Madrid did not play enough well nor achieved any title in the last months of his second season coaching the club.

In Le Parisien’s interview, Ancelotti also talked about Ronaldo’s future in the Spanish Club. The Italian boss believes that the Portuguese Star “will stay at Real Madrid until he retires, because nobody loves the club as he does”.
