The Aragon Gran Prix will be held on Sunday 18^th September. The MotorLand circuit of Alcañiz will host the race for the second year and this GP will be the 14^th of the championship and the last in Europa before the Valencia GP, which will close the season.

The new MotorLand circuit of Alcañiz was opened last year. It won the award for the best Grand Prix of the year by IRTA and all the drivers liked it. The circuit is 5,077 m. of length and it has 17 turns. Despite MotorLand is very new, Alcañiz hosted motor competitions for many years, until 2003, in an urban circuit.

As mentioned, the Aragon GP will be one of the last of the championship, so it will be also an important race for the battle for the title. The Spanish Jorge Lorenzo is leading the classification. Casey Stoner is in the second position and then there is Dani Pedrosa. However, this driver had an accident in the French Grand Prix and he will not be able to be at least in the next GP in Catalonia. After Pedrosa there are Dovizioso and Rossi, but they are close to the top three drivers. There are a lot of GPs before the Aragon Gran Prix, so nothing is decided yet.

El GP de MotoGp de Aragón se celebrará este año el domingo 18 de septiembre. El circuito MotorLand de Alcañiz acogerá por segundo año consecutivo la carrera, que será la decimocuarta del mundial y la última que se celebre en España y en Europa antes del GP de Valencia, que cerrará la temporada.

El innovador circuito MotorLand de Alcañiz fue estrenado el año pasado y en su primera temporada recibió el premio al mejor Gran Premio del año por IRTA. El circuito ha sido también alabado por todos los pilotos por sus novedosas incorporaciones en el trazado. MotorLand tiene un recorrido de 5.077 metros y cuenta con 17 curvas que tienen además variedad de radios. Pese a ser el circuito de Alcañiz tan nuevo, el municipio aragonés celebró hasta hace poco tiempo competiciones de motor por su circuito urbano durante muchos años.

El GP de Aragón será uno de los últimos del mundial y, por lo tanto, determinante para decidir el ganador. A día de hoy, el mallorquín Jorge Lorenzo es el que domina el campeonato por delante de Casey Stoner. Justo después está Dani Pedrosa, que a pesar de haber empezado la temporada con fuerza, la caída en el GP de Francia podría apartarle de alguna de las próximas carreras. Dovizioso y Rossi ocupan la 4ª y la 5ª posición sin estar alejados de los de más arriba. No obstante, todavía tiene que pasar todo el verano y muchas carreras para llegar al GP de Aragón, así que por ahora aún hay nada decidido, todo está por ver.
