Football fans would think that these players are the new stars of teams that usually play in the Champions League, such as Valencia or Atletico Madrid, which are also two of the major historic clubs Spain… However, they are the latest star signings of Malaga CF, a team that, if it cannot already be considered ‘great’, will be very soon.

The arrival of  the Qatari Sheikh, Abdullah bin Nasser Al Thani (and his infinite millions) to Malaga’s presidency has changed the team in a way never seen before in Spain. Firstly, the former Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini signed as the coach of the club. Then, the Arab tycoon brought quality national players such  as Joaquin, or  historical legends such as Ruud Van Nistelrooy to the club.

And do you know what the latest rumor is? That Raul will move too! Yes, Raul Gonzalez, the Real Madrid legend! The visit of probably the best Spanish footballer in history to the Andalusian city a few days ago has triggered rumors of his possible move to Malaga. Although nothing is confirmed yet by any source it is true that the signing of Raul would be the football ‘bomb’ of the summer. Moreover, the move of the Spanish striker would definitely mean the setting up of a powerful –very powerful- team, that will fight to play, at least, in the Europa League in the 2012-2013 season.

The experience of their coach and the talent and experience of their players will bring good football and a lot of goals to La Liga, something to be thankful for in a league that nowadays is very polarized (in the last years only Barça and Real Madrid have won).

Cualquier aficionado al fútbol podría pensar que estos jugadores son las nuevas incorporaciones de ‘equipos de Champions’ como el Valencia o el Atlético de Madrid, que además son dos de los históricos grandes clubes de nuestro país… Pero, de hecho, esto serían solo meras suposiciones, pues estos son los últimos fichajes estrella de un equipo que, si todavía no se puede considerar ‘grande’, lo será muy pero que muy en breve, el Málaga CF.

La llegada a la presidencia del club del jeque catarí Abdullah ben Nasser Al Thani (y de sus infinitos millones) ha revolucionado como nunca antes habíamos visto en España un equipo de fútbol. Después de llevar al club malagueño al no-poco-valorado entrenador Manuel Pellegrini, el magnate árabe ha podido desembolsar el dinero suficiente para traer al equipo a jugadores nacionales de tanta calidad como Joaquín, o históricos matadores del área como Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

¿Y ya sabes la última? Pues se especula con la llegada de Raúl. Sí, sí, Raúl González, ese mismo, el mito madridista por excelencia. La simple visita del seguramente mejor futbolista español de la historia a la ciudad andaluza hace unos pocos días ya ha disparado los rumores de su posible fichaje por el Málaga. Pese a que aún nada está confirmado por ninguna parte (y que probablemente nada termine haciéndose), lo cierto es que el fichaje de Raúl sería el ‘bombazo’ futbolístico del verano, y sin duda pondría la guinda al pastel a un conjunto que pasaría a ser un serio –muy serio- aspirante a la Europa League, y como poco.

El Málaga de este año es un equipo que da miedo y que no se pone ni barreras ni límites: sabe que puede aspirar a todo pero no se debe, para nada, confiar. La experiencia de su entrenador y el talento y la eficacia de sus jugadores y sobretodo fichajes, nos aseguran buen fútbol y muchos goles, algo que hay que agradecer en una liga que hoy por hoy está muy polarizada.
